Sugar Short – Classic Comedy and Utility Prop

Sugar Short – Classic Comedy & Utility Prop

A timeless comedy and utility prop, Sugar Short has stood the test of time and is now available again—better than ever! Originally conceived by the legendary Sid Lorraine, this clever prop is perfect for stage, parlor, M.C. work, kid shows, clowns, comedians, strolling, or restaurant magic.

The Effect

The performer shows a genuine 12-ounce restaurant sugar dispenser, filled with granulated sugar. Nearly two-thirds of the sugar is poured into a paper bag, and the audience clearly sees the level in the dispenser drop. After a few magic words, the bag is tilted—and instead of loose sugar, real sugar cubes pour out! The granulated sugar has vanished!
