A delightful and highly visual holiday routine perfect for children’s and family shows! This Christmas-themed effect combines colorful silks, a tote or change bag, and a playful story about Santa Claus, his chimney misadventures, and his missing presents.

The Effect

The magician displays a large 18" x 27" silk of a Christmas house and a smaller 9" x 9" silk of Santa with his bag of presents. A volunteer helps by placing the house silk into an empty tote bag (or change bag). Santa is added, but when the house silk is removed — Santa is nowhere to be seen!

After some playful byplay about Santa being stuck in the chimney, the bag is shaken. Santa reappears, but now he’s covered in soot — and worse, his presents are gone! The bag is shown empty once again, but after more shaking, the presents silk finally drops out, completing the routine with a magical and satisfying ending.
