From the classic Supreme Magic catalogue, Sadie the Seal is a charming and versatile effect designed especially for children’s entertainers. A beautifully crafted model of a seal is shown with its nose in the air. A balloon (unprepared) is inflated and balanced on the seal’s nose—setting the stage for a magical surprise.

The Effect

A spectator selects a card which is returned to the pack and shuffled. The cards are then dealt one by one onto the balloon. Suddenly, when the selected card is reached, the balloon bursts—and Sadie is revealed balancing the chosen card on the tip of her nose!

Many other delightful presentations are possible: the chosen card can be vanished and then appear when the balloon bursts, or children’s props such as Snap cards or cut-out discs representing balls can be used instead of playing cards.

Note: This item does not come with directions but it's very easy to figure out one you see the workings.  It's just a simple trigger.
