The magician displays two sheets of tissue paper and tears them into small pieces. A volunteer is given one of the torn sheets and is instructed to tear theirs exactly the same way. Despite following every step, the volunteer is left with a handful of shredded paper—while the magician magically restores their torn pieces into a or a plain blue paper hat!
