Acquired by Luis Villamonte from a longtime Nebraska magician, the previous owner claimed it was used by Harry Blackstone Sr.; however, there is no documentation or proof to verify that claim. What is certain is the size, build quality, and capability of this pan—it is made for serious stage work.

A Duck Pan is the super-size evolution of the classic Dove Pan. The magician displays the pan empty, ignites a small piece of flash paper or cloth, covers the pan, and moments later reveals live productions such as multiple doves or pigeons, ducklings, a small duck or rabbit, or similar livestock. Beyond live production, the pan supports countless classic routines found throughout magic literature, including “baking a cake,” egg-to-duck effects, and other transformation presentations.
