For over a decade, Josh Janousky kept Arraignment as his personal close-up worker. It fits the places where close-up magic actually happens: a dim bar, a noisy restaurant, the street, or a highly visual social media video. The system sits naturally in the scene while giving the audience a strong psychological and visual hit.
The magician shows a coin and a one-dollar bill. The display is clean and fair. The portrait on the coin vanishes completely. The spectator opens the bill they have been holding the whole time, and the missing portrait is now printed directly onto it.
The secret gimmick stays completely invisible, even in plain sight. When the performance ends, everything can be handed out at once for full examination. The bill can also be left with the spectator as a unique souvenir.
